Why I Started
Coaching
I stumbled into writing coaching as a volunteer for the USO.
I lived in Jacksonville, NC with my spouse and was going stir crazy after years in federal complliance, advocacy and policy work, I was suddenly in a location with minimal job opportunities in the community and on base.
As my community grew more informal opprtunities to collaborate came my way. Eventually, I connected with the USO and I was paired with a Marine who had an incredible story but was struggling to put it into words. His long term goal was to eventually become a dentist and save the money to help his family come the the U.S. Years after I assisted this Marine, I checked in to see how things had gone for him and he shared that he'd exce

I have lived in major metropolitans, small and mid-sized cities, and rural communities. I enjoy and specialize in developing and implementing sustainable programs and providing advisory services to tackle unique issues organizations encounter. My experience spans the private and public sector, including 501c4 advocacy organizations, start up non-profits, and the federal government.
My education includes a Bachelors's in Business from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD, a Masters in the Study of law from the University Pittsburgh, and a Juris Doctor and Diploma of Comparative Law from Louisiana State University. When I'm not working, I enjoy staying active, reading, exploring with my my sidekick Sinatra, supporting service members pursuing higher education, and mentoring teens and young adults.
